The Chair Group of Production and Resource Economics at the TUM School of Management and the TUM School of Life Sciences offers a position as a Ph.D. Student / Junior Researcher in Resource and Environmental Economics.
The initial appointment will be 2 years with the possibility of extension. Salary is in accordance with the German State Regulated Public Salary Scale (starting at TV-L E13 2/3).
The successful candidate will conduct cutting-edge empirical research in at least one of the following areas
leading to an internationally competitive PhD degree and internationally peer-reviewed publications.
The position will include significant involvement in selected nationally and internationally funded projects, such as various EU Horizon projects (e.g. Smart4Welfare, StewardSoil, LandPrint) or nationally funded projects (as e.g. CAP-AB). He/she will receive high quality supervision from the chair’s senior academic staff and might be involved in teaching at under/postgraduate level as well as funding acquisition and (global) outreach, if desired. International networking and collaborations are regarded as an integral part of the PhD research experience and are explicitly encouraged (also with partners in South America, Asia or Africa). The PhD process will be accompanied by integration into TUM’s School of Life Sciences or School of Management and participation in the related Graduate School training programs.
