Lecturer in Biochemistry


(full time; 38.5 hrs./week; initially limited to 36 months)


Your responsibilities:


In this position, you will support teaching activities in the Biochemistry and Cell Biology study program at the BSc level. Supervision of student theses is also possible.


The successful candidate will be teaching Bachelor level courses such as General Cell Biology, General Cell Biology Lab, Advanced Biochemistry I: Metabolic Pathways and Experimental Strategy Design.


The university is highly supportive of junior faculty, providing both formal and informal mentoring, administrative support, as well as a flexible budget for establishing an internationally visible research group. Several opportunities exist to develop multidisciplinary research projects in collaboration with other research groups or our industrial partners.


Your qualifications:

  • MSc or PhD degree in the field of Biochemistry, Cell Biology, or a related discipline.

  • Strong interest and experience in teaching in the context of international and diverse environments

  • Affinity to digital teaching tools and content implementation into learning management systems

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Intercultural experience and competence

  • Fluency in English, the language of instruction and communication on campus
