In this project, you will have the opportunity to work in a joint research team on predictive mechanisms in the human brain and behavior between the Universities of Göttingen (Computational Neuroscience and Robotics) and Münster (Institute of Psychology). We are interested in human-human interaction and the classification of the different types of mutual interpersonal predictions that occur therein. We use modern computer vision methods to capture human interaction in a game-like scenario and analyze behavioral patterns and their neural basis using neuroimaging (fMRI). Your task will be to analyze the behavioral patterns of the subjects based on their actions and to model them mathematically/computer-based.
The ideal candidate will have an above average M.Sc. in a relevant, theory-oriented subject such as physics or computer science (or similar) preferably with a background in psychology, or cognitive science. Previous experience in computer-based modeling (Python, C++) or mathematical-theoretical methods would be very valuable.
