Student Assistant (m/f/d)

(12,82€ - 13,83/hour; 8-19h/week)

to be filled for a limited period of 1 year, with the possibility of extension.

The research focus of the professorship is on questions of global governance (including international organisations), international power shifts and the political economy of great power rivalries. Responsibilities:

• Support of scientific work, including literature research, data collection and processing, content-related work
• Proofreading of manuscripts
• Maintenance of the chair's website
• Support in the planning and realisation of scientific events (e.g. workshops)

Qualification requirements:

• Advanced Bachelor's or Master's degree in International Relations, Political Science, Sociology or related disciplines
• Very good academic performance
• Experience with reference management programmes (e.g. Zotero)
• Enrolment at a German university
• Very good written and spoken English skills

Also desirable:

• Good written and spoken German language skills
• Knowledge of theories in the field of international relations/international political economy
• Knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methods
• Experience with or interest in methods of data collection, processing and management (for example in Excel, STATA, R or SPSS)
